Biyography

He is a Kurdish actor based in Munich. He began his acting career in 2002 with the theater group Teatra Evîna Welat and made his cinema debut in 2014. He won the “Best Supporting Actor” award at the Antalya International Film Festival for his role in the film My Mother’s Song. He has appeared in numerous international films and series, including the Apple TV+ sci-fi series Invasion directed by Emmy-winning director Jamie Payne, the Disney+ series Escape, and Catherine the Great signed by Philip Martin, in countries such as the USA, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Iran, and Morocco. Most recently, he starred in the Hollywood film Dirty Angels, directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and featuring Eva Green in the lead role. Çapkurt has also appeared in many German films, such as Ayşe Polat’s Lola Award-winning film Im Toten Winkel, Matthias Glasner’s Informant, and Ilker Catak’s Yellow Letters. The actor has been continuing his career in Germany since 2017.
