After an eight-year hiatus, the Amed Film Festival is set to make a comeback with a more inclusive, socially engaged, and freedom-oriented vision. A comprehensive workshop was held from February 28 to March 1, 2025, to support the festival’s revival.
This workshop, organized with the aim of rebuilding the 3rd Amed Film Festival as a platform accessible to people from all walks of life and one that deepens social dialogue, brought together internationally renowned filmmakers, cultural actors, and thinkers.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on how the festival could be structured within an innovative and democratic framework that upholds artistic freedom of expression and allows diverse creative perspectives to be represented freely.
With the aspiration of creating a platform that embraces diversity, redefines cultural boundaries, and remains sensitive to social issues, attendees proposed visionary ideas for reshaping the festival into an impactful artistic space on both local and global scales.
This workshop not only laid a strong intellectual foundation for the festival’s future but also reinforced international collaborations, strengthening the potential of the Amed Film Festival to become a global platform for dialogue.
