Biography

I have been actively working in the theatre sector for around 30 years. So far I have acted in 22 different stage plays as well as in various film and television productions. Much of my work has taken place in Kurdish theatre, always taking into account the political and cultural weight of the language and memory I bring to the stage. In addition to acting, I also worked as a director, cultural program manager, theater festival coordinator, lecturer and networker. During my year-long stay in Berlin, I tried to build and expand networks with European theatre institutions. My artistic practice is based on a multilingual, multi-layered and transformative aesthetic. In particular, the further development of Kurdish theater, the preservation of memory and the development of a pluralistic stage language have been the focus of my work so far.
